Marble FAQ Vikas Marmo
About Our Products

We supply Umraya white marble, Agaria white marble, and Vietnam white marble — all sourced and processed at our Kelwa, Rajsamand facility. We also supply five varieties of granite: Black Pearl, Imperial Red, Salmon Pink, Light Pink, and Blue Grey. All materials are available as raw blocks, processed slabs, and cut tiles.

Both are white marbles from the Rajsamand belt, but they differ in veining character. Umraya marble has a pure white base with dramatic grey-black veining and is our flagship export variety. Agaria marble has a crisp white base with bold, prominent veining and tends to have stronger contrast. Both are A-grade and available in matched lots. We recommend requesting slab photographs to select the character that suits your project.

We offer five surface finishes: Polished (mirror high-gloss), Honed (satin matte), Sandblasted (textured), Brushed/Antique, and Bush-Hammered (rough, on request). The right finish depends on your application — polished for interior flooring and feature walls, honed for bathrooms and outdoor areas, flamed or sandblasted for exterior cladding and temple platforms.

Yes. Our in-house factory can produce slabs up to 313×203 cm in any thickness from 10mm upwards. Tiles can be cut to any dimension. Material Questions

Marble can be used for kitchen countertops but requires some care — it is softer than granite and can be etched by acidic substances like lemon juice or vinegar. For a kitchen that sees heavy use, granite or a honed marble finish (which hides etching better) is often recommended. Many of our clients choose honed Umraya marble for kitchens and love the aesthetic. We're happy to advise based on your usage.

Marble is a metamorphic rock — softer, more porous, and known for its veining and elegant appearance. Granite is an igneous rock — harder, denser, more resistant to scratching and staining, and better suited for high-traffic or outdoor applications. Marble is preferred for temples, luxury interiors, and sculptures. Granite is preferred for kitchen countertops, commercial flooring, facades, and outdoor work.

Sweep or vacuum regularly to remove grit that can scratch the surface. Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner — avoid acidic or bleach-based products. Wipe spills immediately, especially acidic liquids. Re-seal polished marble every 1–2 years with a penetrating stone sealer. Avoid dragging heavy furniture. With basic care, Rajsamand white marble flooring will look beautiful for decades.
